Zach Fleeger, Senior Assistant Superintendent |
Zach Fleeger is the senior assistant superintendent at The Mountain Course. Born North of Pittsburgh Pa, Zach began his career in golf course maintenance right after high school graduation. His love for golf goes back to his childhood days when his father would frequently take him golfing. It was then that he decided golf course maintenance was to be his chosen profession. Zach worked full time at a family owned course while attending a community college. He then transferred to Penn State University to earn his bachelors in Turf grass Science. After a summer internship in Southeastern Wyoming, Zach accepted a position as Assistant Superintendent in Pittsburgh PA. He would spend five years in Pittsburgh at two private clubs, both designed by Donald Ross. He would volunteer at events when possible including the 2014 Men's Senior Championship at Fox Chapel Country Club. Zach loves all Stowe has to offer from hiking, mountain and road biking, and abundance of skiing options.

Rory Burke, Assistant Superintendent |
Rory Burke is the second assistant at The Mountain Course. Rory split his childhood between Chevy Chase, MD, and summers in Vermont. He fell in love with the game of golf caddying at Chevy Chase Club in Maryland and Ekwanok Country Club in Manchester, VT. His family later moved to LaJolla, CA where he spent time playing golf at the incredible Torrey Pines. Rory graduated in 2001 from Castleton University in Vermont. After college he made his way to Stowe seeking the golf and ski lifestyle in the mountains. His focus became resort operations and management. He worked at Stowe Mountain Resort for fifteen years in various supervisory roles. These roles included lead groomer, lead snowmaker, and had an instrumental role in the startup of the new tree top adventure course and zipline. Recently, his career focus returned to the golf industry. Prior to The Mountain Course he was the assistant superintendent at Copley Golf Club. Rory also is an ISA certified arborist, AMGA rock climbing guide, and is currently serving on the Stowe Mountain Rescue team. He owns a home in Morrisville with his wife, Karalyn, and two young boys, Morgan and Harry, and chocolate lab, Cooper.
