|Mark Finch, Superintendent|
Mark's claim to fame is the "Fenway Park" of Northfield. This replica of Fenway Park was created by him in his backyard. The field is a good example of his imagination and hard work ethic. Mark lives in Northfield, VT with his wife Leah, daughter Ila and dog Howey.
|Matthew Jung, Assistant Superintendent|
Matthew Jung is the assistant superintendent at Stowe Country Club. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Connecticut in 2010 with a bachelors degree in turf grass and soil science and minor in ornamental horticulture. He spent two seasons working at a municipal course outside of Hartford, CT before spending the last three seasons at Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, MA. While at Taconic, Matthew gained valuable knowledge in tournament preparation and course conditioning to maintain Taconic's status as a top 100 classic course. Matthew is an avid outdoorsman, spending the winter months skiing and snowboarding and hiking in the summer. He is excited to be involved in the improvements being made to Stowe Country Club and can't wait to enjoy all the outdoor activities the Green Mountain state has to offer.
|Zach Fleeger, Assistant Superintendent|
Zach is the assistant superintendent at Stowe Mountain Golf Club. Born North of Pittsburgh Pa, Zach began his career in golf course maintenance right after high school graduation. His love for golf goes back to his childhood days when his father would frequently take him golfing. It was then that he decided golf course maintenance was to be his chosen profession. Zach worked full time at a family owned course while attending a community college. He then transferred to Penn State University to earn his bachelors in Turf grass Science. After a summer internship in Southeastern Wyoming, Zach accepted a position as Assistant Superintendent in Pittsburgh PA. He would spend 5 years in Pittsburgh at two private clubs, both designed by Donald Ross. He would volunteer at events when possible including the 2014 Men's Senior Championship at Fox Chapel Country Club. Zach loves all Stowe has to offer from hiking, mountain and road biking, and abundance of skiing options.
|Jerry Elliott, Assistant Superintendent|
Jerry Elliott is the newest addition to our team as Assistant Superintendent at Stowe Mountain Club. Born and Raised in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, Jerry started working as a laborer at Timber Trails Golf Club in Pocono Pines, Pennsylvania. He then moved to continue expanding his knowledge at Schaffers Mill Golf Club in Truckee, California. From there he attended Rutgers University where he received a 2 year Certificate in the professional golf course turfgrass management program. After attending school, Jerry went on to do an internship at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey. After his summer internship, Jerry was promoted to Application Specialist and was a part of the team that hosted the 2016 PGA championship. In his spare time Jerry enjoys playing guitar, snowboarding and mountain biking.
|Shawn Anderson, Equipment Manager|
Shawn was born and raised in Memphis, TN. Prior to Stowe Mountain Golf Club, he was the equipment manager at Colonial Country Club in Memphis. Colonial Country Club is a private 36-hole golf course. Colonial was the host of the PGA St. Jude Classic from 1958-1988. Before going to Colonial, Shawn worked at Cordova Country Club in Cordova, TN as a grounds crew member.
Shawn is a master fabricator. His skill as a welder and designer has provided us with many opportunities to continually do our job better, which in turn, means a better golf course and golf experience. Shawn lives in Stowe, VT.
